Review

Do you like progressive melodic metal performed in a tasteful way?!,Swedish Mister Kite is back with their 2nd release on Feb.18th and I must say that this is a major facelift compared to their debut which also was very good but had it?s downs.
The progressive rock label Lion Music has delivered another astonishing release up there in the same regions as the colorful and mighty Suncaged, this new album "Box of fear" is together with the Dutch progrockers Suncaged the 2 best so far from Lion Music-no doubt about it.
I drew parallels to Queensryche on "All in time" from 2002 and still there are some influences from Geoff Tate and Co but on the new album-Mister Kite has gone an easier path with heavier songs with less technical parts and more suggestive hard rock.
One thing I am truly happy about is the fabolous sound which sounds like a big budget major label production, the bass goes through the floor like tremors (you remember the movie?) and the crispy guitars fills up the air like Hitchcock?s birds attacking the people in a small village.

A real strong Swedish release 2004!
