Review

Blinker The Star is a one man army namely composer, producer, singer and musician Jordon Zadorozny who has worked with Lindsey Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac) and Andy Sturmer (Jellyfish) on one song on this new album.
The band?s first bassplayer was Melissa Auf der Maur who later joined Courtney Love?s band HOLE but now she has her own new band simply called AUF DER MAR!
Jordon has also written songs together with Courtney Love for her band HOLE back in 97 and 2 of Blinker The Star?s previous albums was released on A&M plus Dreamworks records, but "Still in Rome" which is BTS?s 4th LP album is out on the label French Kiss.
The thing that got me interested in hearing this record was the major cool thing of reading that Ken Andrews (Year of the Rabbit,Failure) has produced their last album "August Everywhere" from 99,he?s a supertalent when it comes to modern rock so Blinker The Star sounded like a band to share some time with.
How do I easily describe their music?!.....not easy, not easy......but hey, let?s take 30% of POLICE when they still had their English Punk era, take another 30% of CHEAP TRICK?s powerpop and 30% Hard Rock a la LED ZEPPELIN.
Without a doubt, this album feels like more of a Powerpop record than a Punk or Hard rock effort but still-the Zep harmonies are there spiced with the uplifting 70?s Punk.
One can tell that this is made in Ontario,Canada......only the Maple Leafs people can be this original!.
Close of being a Top 25 album last year.
