Review

This British trio featuring Tom Chaplin-Vocals, Richard Hughes-Drums and Tim Rice-Oxley-Piano may not have a guitarist in their band but they have a helluva lot more........splendid pop songs performed in the most grandios way.
Strange thing is that I don?t miss the guitars either,I am a sucker for rough guitars but when it comes to big sounding pop music the way Keane does it-I can take it without any problem whatsoever.
Their music has been described as having Radiohead covering AHA songs and I won?t argue with that coz it?s quite correct in most of the songs but I would also like to put in some Buggles and Tears for Fears in there.
Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes did a few classic songs with their unforgettable Buggles,I think Trevor Horn would?ve been proud over Keane if he should?ve been the producer behind this stunning album.

"Hopes and Fears" is full of cloudwalking tunes that is truly made for the headphones and a long walk in the park,my god how good they are......just dream away to the new single "Somewhere only we know" or fly even higher to "Bend and break".
A more suitable BAND OF THE WEEK band than KEANE is hard to find, there are lots of great bands out there and then there are a few Mega-great.....i think you get the idea in what category you?ll find Keane!
Moving music indeed!
