Review

Joel and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte pursued pop punk perfection on this new album, they wanted to do something more than just another ordinary trendy punkpop album in the footsteps of their mega successful "The young and the hopeless".
Just like Blink 182,this band also has matured and are acting like true artists that wants to develop their sound coz "The chronicles of life and death" is a surprise for the ears.
One of my favorite producers of today is Eric Valentine because he manages to bring out something extra from the bands he?s working with and so is the case with Good Charlotte?s new album, there are a few typical punkpop songs on it but you?re about to see and hear a new side to this band on most of the other tracks.
I can sense a touch of Third Eye Blind coz the Madden brothers aren?t afraid to use acoustic guitars, piano and layers of strings - a song like "We believe" would?ve been impossible for the band to have written a few years ago,Impressive!
One small step for the band, one big step for the band?s fans......will they accept their new style?! - I hope so!
