Review

"What do you get when you combine the insane vocal arrangements of Jellyfish, the alt/rock guitar driven attack of the Foo Fighters, the aesthetics of the Beach Boys circa Pet Sounds, and the angst filled emotional lyricism of Jimmy Eat World? Well? you get one hell of a mess called Marianas Trench? but what an interesting and melodic mess it is! Led by lead singer/songwriter/guitar riff master Josh Ramsay, Marianas Trench have made quite a name for themselves in Vancouver in a short period of time."
These words are taken from their biography on their label 604 records website but I couldn?t have said it better myself, their bandname Marianas Trench is the name of the deepest spot in any ocean of the world,it is located in the pacific ocean just east of the Phillippines.
Truly an interesting place and so are the band?s sound - real interesting and fresh, their strong debut 6 song EP was released back in 2002 through Chad Kroeger?s label.
All 5 bandmembers sing and their 5 way harmonies are amazing, the band have plans on recording a full length album so keep your eyes open for this band in 2005.
Why not join me on a deep dive into the Marianas Trench?

Did you know that?

Rocker Tom Petty once took a picture of Jim Morrison’s ghost while visiting his grave in Paris. The photo was proved to be 100% real by the FBI photolab.
