Review

?No Name Face? by Lifehouse is one of the best modern rock album ever made in my opinion. It really knocked me in 2000 with monster tunes like ?Simon?, ?Everything?, ?Sick cycle carousel? and not to forget their break through single ?Hanging by a moment?.
?Stanley Climbfall ? followed two years later and got a quite calm reception from both critics and fans.
We didn?t get hits, we didn?t get the consistency from the debut, but we got a good solid modern rock album, which I personally think is better than the words it got.
The band is now back three years after the last effort and have a lot of pressure them. I don?t think that Geffen/Dreamworks will accept anything else than a gold selling album. For me is Lifehouse and dropped two word that has nothing in common, it would be unacceptable, but stranger thing has happened. Both Nine Days and Tal Bachman got dropped after having sold over 1 millions copies of their albums. Ok, anyone that understands?
So lets start summary their latest effort then. I have had this album for like a month now and I must say that I was a little disappointed after the first spin in my cd. Can?t really say why, maybe I was expecting another ?No Name Face?, where they sounded unique and really surprised me with expectations at all. But folks, my opinion about this self-titled album is now quite changed and I must say that this is very good album and an improvement from last time. Songs like ?Come Back Down?,? You and Me? and ?We?ll Never Know? are all pure modern rock heaven and will probably end up on their ?Greatest Hits? album sometime in the future. I?m not sure if they will be US number ones, but they will probably all be released as singles and will get the band plenty of airplay. Just to get those is worth the price for the album I can tell you. Those are my favourites here as you can read, but the rest of the album has a high level and makes this album to one of my faves this year.
This is good enough for another album on Geffen, but the number of sold copies will probably decide their future there. Buy!!!

Kajs opinion
Lifehouse is more or less singer/songwriter Jason Wade coz he?s the only original member left from the successful debut "No name face" (2000) because drummer Rick Wolstenhulme
got into the band on the second album
"Stanley climbfall" in 2002 and the third member bassist Bryce Soderberg joined
forces with the other two last year.
If you?re a Lifehouse fan,you can buy this new album blindfolded because it is as safe as a sequel in the Friday the 13th series,
you know what to expect and you also know the ending....how exciting is that?
I find the music too predictable and without any surprises in sight - I?m afraid I have to pass on this one coz I don?t need
any sleeping pills to fall asleep at night, otherwise this album should?ve been just fine to end any day into bed.
2 words that Wade should learn more about and those are:UPTEMPO and ELECTRIC GUITARS........coz they are nowhere
to be found on their new effort.
