What?s the point in making cover albums?
It seems to be the thing of 2005 coz not only Styx has done one,oh no - we?re also expecting the same thing from Def Leppard, Shaw/Blades, Rick Springfield and Ozzy also did one included in his box set.
Don?t me wrong coz I love Styx and am looking forward to see them perform live on stage on Sweden Rock Festival this summer but I prefer a new studio album instead of this tiresome piece of work.
Who wants to hear Tommy Shaw sing "Summer in the city"?!......and the acoustic new version of "Blue collar man" should?ve been featured on a Styx tribute performed by another band instead of hearing the band itself do it - no,I rather play the old classic from 1978 and have that version in my head instead of this slow and lame mess.
Frontiers has lined up a few really strong releases this spring but Styx aint one of them!

Did you know that?

Fightstar formed in late 2003 after Alex Westaway and Charlie Simpson, former Busted frontman, met at a party in Simpson´s London home. Following an impromptu jam session, Westaway and Simpson decided to form a band. After a few songs had been written, the band recruited bassist Dan Haigh, a school friend of guitarist Alex Westaway and drummer Omar Abidi.
