Review

Chicago youngsters The Academy Is can be described as a band that mixes varied styles such as emo, indie rock and punkpop - their debut "Almost here" has a fresh production and it contains some nice songs like the Butch Walker sounding "Season" and "Black mamba" with Elvis Costello vibes.
The problem with this band is the singer that sings in the same tone on the majority of the album, that?s a shame coz they have potential and are to be reckoned with so keep an eye on them in the future.
On the other hand ,this album is very short with a running time of 32 minutes so you won?t get tired of it in the first round.
