Review

Jamison Covington and Parker Case makes the duo of Jamison Parker, they released a 5 track EP independently in 2003 called "Notes and photographs" which was acoustic based punkpop.
I wrote in that review that I hoped someone would discover them and put some money in the band to let them record with a strong producer.....well isn?t it nice to see that Interscope records signed JP and on July 12th they will release their full length debut "Sleepwalker".
It?s produced by none other than Ken Andrews (Year of the rabbit) so everything turned out for the best since he?s one of the best around with splendid works such as Mae and Charlotte Martin in his files.
This album is more electric than the EP but still quite cool and lowtempo, you can hear that Ken Andrews has given the band a huge wall of guitars that lift their music even higher.
"Sleepwalker" is an album filled with beautiful modern rock tunes, you can either rock out with the first single "Best mistake" or watch the sunset with your soulmate to "Goodbyes".
The orchestral pop bomb "Paper,Rock,Scissors" sounds like a future hit on an upcoming love movie, the excellent "Slow suicide" is a soundscape of Ultravox synthesizers and harmonies a la Flickerstick - all in all a great music adventure.
If you want your modern rock to be atmospheric and huge sounding, then Jamison Parker is the choice for you ladies and gents.
