Review

Double blind Music is a new interesting label that later this fall will release the exciting debuts from 32 leaves and Opus Dai.
Their first album though is the compilation {un}known Vol. 1 with rock/hardcore veterans such as Dead Poetic, Project 86, Hopesfall and Halifax alongside up-and-coming bands like 32 Leaves, Opus Dai and Tripside

We got 14 fresh tunes and there?s plenty of candy to find here.
The opening ?The Dreamclub Murders?? with Dead Poetic is totally fantastic emo/post-hardcore. I Listened to the song 4 times before I jumped to the next one. What a start! The previously unreleased ?Life Is A Garden? with Greeley Estates is another emo/post-hardcore tune that brings the best out of that style.
Double Blinds own bands are of course on this album and separates a little from the others. 32 Leaves plays tougher modern rock with influences of Tool, Dredge and Filter while Opus Dai is far more progressive in their musical approach. Imagine a mix of System Of A Down, Mars Volta and Rainbow. Yes, you heard it right. A mix of progressive metal/rock and even some classic hard rock is what we got. Very cool and very good I can tell you.
Other songs that has to be mentioned are the acoustic ?Broken Wings? by Bleed The Dream and unreleased tunes with Tripside ?Fear of Falling?, The Panic Division ?Verses? , The Revolution Smile ?Does Anybody Even Care?.

{un}known Vol. 1? is available now for only $100 and that?s it definitely worth if you want have a good compilation in the emo, screamo, hardcore and punk genre.
