Review

30 year old pop phenomenon Natalie Imbruglia couldn?t follow up the success of the hit "Torn" from her debut "Left of the middle" (1998) with the follow up "White Lilies island" (2001) even though she worked with Patrick Leonard on the hitsingle "That day".
Now,4 years later she is back on a new label with her 3rd album "Counting down the days" which is her most contemporary and mature album up to date.
This time Natalie has co-written 10 of the 12 songs and her husband Daniel Johns of Silverchair has contributed with the Wings influenced "Satisfied".
Natalie is a talented singer and songwriter and proves she can stand on her own two feet with this fine new album, the first single released from this album is "Shiver" which is a pop anthem worthy of the same chart success as "Torn".
There are lots of single contenders here like the uptempo track "Perfectly",the opening track "Starting today" that feels like a walk in the garden and the title track "Counting down the days" gets stuck in the head like glue.
Good album!
