Review

The Militia Group has become a new favorite label of mine with interesting releases all through the year and they just keep em coming.
They are not afraid to sign odd bands but still with good quality and potential to be big - Man Alive from Jerusalem,Israel are no exception coz this trio featuring:Jamie Hilsden & the brothers Jon/David Shkedi plays classy rock with a certain punk touch over it.
The band has released 2 albums independently but recently signed with The Militia Group for their first U.S release "Open surgery" and this one contains lots of cathy songs that will make your day float by like a day at the beach.
Think Saves the day meeting Blink 182 halfway, you can find traces of both powerpop and punkpop in these songs.
The two opening tracks "Give me a sign" and "Say what you want" are both worthy to be released as singles to radio - singalong boys and girls.
Very good indeed!
