Want some new glamrock in your life?! Then I suggest you check out the Swedish band Supergroupies self titled debut, only available in Japan but a real cool cd for sure.
Let?s take a trip to the 70?s glamrock where bands like Sweet,T-Rex and David Bowie comes in mind - you can also draw parallels to modern bands like Tsar and Easy Action while listening to this album.
There are some moments on the record that brings your thoughts to the 60?s and The Kinks while other parts of the album takes you to the garagerock of The Strokes.
I am more fond of the glitter rock with powerpop tendencies like the first single "Bouncin?" (written by Kee Marcello of Easy Action/Europe) and the Cheap Trick-ish "Tonight with love".
Is it 2006 or 1975? Well it?s certainly 75 with Supergroupies.

Tracklisting 1. Give It All You Got
2. Bouncin'
3. Hot In Paris
4. Low Blue Flame
5. '75
6. Say Goodbye
7. What A Day
8. Scream Shout Adore
9. I Wish You Would
10. Summertime
11. You Will Do
12. Tonight With Love
13. Come One Come All

Did you know that?

Most of the sounds on Prince´s "Sign O´ The Times" single came from the stock library that came w/ the ´80s sampler, the Fairlight CMI.
