Review

The 3rd album from Welsh rockers Lost Prophets might have the same huge and fat sound as the previous gigantic album "Start something" but the killer hooks just aren?t there.
If that album was a strong black cup of coffee, then they have added sugar and cream into this one coz the new album is more poppy where the band doesn?t deliver the same classy alternative metal.
Ofcourse master producer Bob Rock has given the album a million dollar sound but Lost Prophets focuses more on bringing out their 80?s influences on "Liberation Transmission" which might not be the best thing for this band.
A track like "Can?t catch tomorrow" could in fact featured on the latest Good Charlotte album, imagine Clash going modern punkpop and you?ll have "Everybody?s screaming" which is a song that the young kids will probably love.

"Broken hearts, torn up letters and the story of a lonely girl" is very charming with it?s Police sounding harmonies, the new single "Rooftops" stands out as one of the strongest tracks on this album.
The upbeat and catchy "Can?t stop, gotta date with hate" contains a cool piano based verse,a real nice song that is one of few peaks here.
This is not a bad album,I don?t mind listening to it coz there are many fine moments among these 12 tracks but it?s quite obvious that Lost Prophets has left England and their unique nische with an all American sound.
If I didn?t know better,I would believe these songs are strictly for radio.
