A new album with Jars Of Clay is like a box of belgian chocolate for me. I just love it - even before I taste it. It?s the same thing with the new album. My expectations on this album was VERY high - and voila - the band deliver a great album once again. I could actually say that it probably is one of their three best albums. And that from a band that released classic albums like the debut from 1995, the fabolous album "If I Left the Zoo" from 1999 and the great album from 2002 called "The Eleventh Hour" just to pick three. Dan Haseltine and his men once again prove that they?re one of the absolute best and leading bands in the genre of lighter modern rock. Musically they have added a little more americana-edge and midwest vibe to the sound. You can hear some influences of bands like Counting Crows, Toad The Wet Sprocket and why not even mention Ingram Hill. This together with their own unique sound is a killer combination and a SURE top 5 place on my toplist over 2006 best albums.
