Review

Brand New?s major label debut is not an album you have an opinion about after just one spin, this one?s a grower for sure - I thought at first that they hadn?t developed their sound from the previous album "Deja Entendu" but now I know I was wrong.
The new one is so much better, Brand New really do have their own sound with one foot on Emo ground and the other in the alternative rock genre.
Also add a touch of space rock and elements of dance-able new wave rock with a subtle edge and we?re quite close to how the 2006 version of this band sounds like.
There?s more on this album for those who like the new single "Degausser", just listen to the calm 70?s pop of "Jesus Christ" or the catchy track "Archers" with lots of vibes ala The Cure.
The closest way to describe this album is to put Sparta, The Cooper Temple Clause and Gatsbys American Dream into a big blender and out comes "The devil and god are raging inside me".
Rock with depth!
