2007 starts off with not 1 but 2 albums with Norway?s own David Coverdale, Jorn. Yes, the former Masterplan singer strikes back with 2 albums that will give his new fans a great opportunity to check out what he has done before he joined Masterplan. "Unlocking The Past" includes some previously unreleased cover songs that were originally considered to be additional bonus tracks for previous Jorn albums. This is not the first time he has recorded a full cover album. No, his debut solo album Starfire was also filled with covers and he has done new remixes of "Burn" (Deep Purple) and "The Day The Earth Caught Fire" (City Boy) from that album. There is also a remastered version of "On And On" (from the Best of album with Millennium). You get to hear great versions of songs such as "Fool For Your Loving" (Whitesnake), "Cold Sweat" (Thin Lizzy) and "Perfect Stranger" (Deep Purple) to pick out some tracks. So if you own a copy of Starfire then you can?t miss this fine album with great cover versions. Jorn sings like a mighty king and I salute him, what a voice.
