SHORTCUT

The Format (it?s a duo) plays a really charmful sort of pop somewhere between Eels, Cake, Ben Folds and Jimmy Eats World. It?s whimsical, it?s joyful, it?s glad, it?s sad, it?s all a mess in the instrumentation and it?s just adorable all over. The vocalist Nate Ruess sits on a damn cool voice and that combined with a clever and smart production and a helluva strong songmaterial you have a great album to check. A lovely piece of work.
