Review

This album is actually a little of a surprise and that in a good way. I have not been a HUGE fan of Ben. I think he´s been more a cool clone of Beck and Ben Folds than an artist I´ll listen to. I must say - with this album I will. It´s a beautiful package of songs somewhere between Jayhawks, The Thrills and Ben Folds in style and I could easily mention 7-8 tracks out of the 11 as favorites and this is a very positive surprise you gotta check out if you like soft powerpop with a touch of the sunny california. Just listen to the warm "Sundress" and the naked ""Thirteen" with just Ben and his piano, all spiced with a beautiful harmonicasolo...Lovely stuff.

Tracklisting 1. Run
2. Nothing Happening
3. Sundress
4. I Gotta Move
5. Thirteen
6. Penny On The Train Track
7. I Don't Know Why
8. Magic
9. Red Eye
10. Until I Die
11. This Is War
