Review

Kidd Havok is the 3rd release from the Aussie lable Suncity Records this month and this album is the best one out of them. This is guitardriven 80s hardrock with more sleaze. The singer Johnny B has a good and powerful voice that reminds me of Vince Neil and that suits Kidd Havoks music. Soundwise these guys reminds of Skid Row(not as good though), Extreme, Lillian Axe and Dirty Rhythm. This is a nice 10-track album to listen to, and it rocks really good here and there. The whole album doesn´t hold the same quality and there are no real standout tracks, but most of it is really nice. Songs like "Too Sadd", "Treat Me", "Lady Luck" and "Cold Sweat" will make sleaze fans jump of joy because these songs are damn fine songs in the genre. This is a MUST check out if your into the mentioned bands and for those who misses the heydayz of the 80s sleaze hardrock.
