Switzerland has more to offer in this world of melodic music than Gotthard, Shakra and Krokus. Yes indeed here we have Vivian that is a new band for me but they this is their 4th release. This may be far away from the sound of Gotthard, instead these guys combine power pop with melodic rock influences with lots of melodies and wonderful lead and harmony vocals are brilliant. They have played shows with The Cranberries, Lenny Kravitz, Avril Lavigne and Status Quo. I would say that Vivian is a mixture of London Calling, Taxiride and hints of Cheap Trick that they offer on these 12 tracks. The whole album is very even but they save the best for last. The 3 last songs on the album is pure freaking melodic heaven. All Fall Down is a great rock song with a strong hooks and melodic chorus. Step Back is the best song of the album with great riffs and drumsound, yes this is wonderful Cheap Trick meets Simple Plan smelling rocker with huge sound and the chorus is a winner. My Flavor end the album in a perfect way, this is a wonderful ballad and just close your eyes and listen to the outstanding vocals. A very solid album that should be checked out by power pop/rock fans because this is not bad at all. No, it´s time to play My Flavor one more time.
