Review

This Is the latest stuff from the American ska/pop/rock group Smash Mouth. With their previous record Astro Lounge they were real successful and scored a couple of real hits like "Walking in the sun" and the cool "All star". This cd follows the path with a sunny and ultra catchy surf sound. Imagine The Beach Boys in a modern version with E-type on vocals and we have a real summer record ready for the beach 2002. Some might feel that this is too catchy and that is sound the same all the time.
I agree with that, but these guys really knows what theyre doing. We have a handful of songs with hit potential like the 70s influenced "Pacific coast party" that should be on any summer party. "Holiday in my head" and "Your man" are two other nice ones sounding a lot like their earlier hits.
This is a real love/hate album and I must say that Im somewhere in the middle, but more to the love side. They ends the album with a cover on the Monkees "Im a believer". I normally doesnt like covers and this is no exception. A boring end of a charming record.
