Review

"Champion" is the 2nd full length from Chicago based pop/punk band The Audition but it pleases me to say that there´s less pop/punk on the new album and more of that dance-able new wave.
These 10 new songs will get you in a good friday night mood right from the brilliant opener "Basbhat" that sounds like a chart climber in my ears.
The new single "Warm me up" is in fact not one of the strongest tracks on "Champion", both "Edinboro" and "Hell to sell" have lots of hit potential and if they won´t make it as singles - they could go for The Police-esque "What gets you through the night".
The 2008 version of The Audition can be described as having Panic! at the disco playing The Clash songs.
I like this a lot!

Tracklisting 1. Basbhat
2. Warm Me Up
3. Heaven for the Weather
4. Edinboro
5. Hell to Sell
