Review

If you were disappointed with last years E.L.O album Zoom, you should take a look here because this is more of a E.L.O record than Jeff Lynne?s Zoom are.
The Orchestra continues on where E.L.O part two ended, there are 3 former members of E.L.O in this band (Mik Kaminski,Kelly Groucott and Louis Clark) and the rest have been involved in E.L.O part 2 (Eric Troyer-Vocals,Parthenon Huxley-Guitar) except for the drummer Gordon Townsend who is new for this band. I think the material sounds more like the early E.L.O years than the part 2 project did. The orchestral arrangements and the harmony vocals is right on the spot just the way it should sound when it comes to basic electric light music.
Just listen to "Jewel and johnny" that could be taken from Out of the blue, or "Over london skies" that echoes out A new world record. Still the whole album does not feel great, strange thing is that the second half is so much better than the first half. Good popmusic though.

Did you know that?

Balance singer Peppy Castro recorded 3 tracks for the 1987 porn movie Born For Love from Teresa Orlowski´s film company.
The tracks have not been released on CD.
