Review

James Christian is back with the rest of the lords and a brand new smoking album filled with well-crafted songs. After the weak comeback album Power And The Mynt in 2004 they got the act together and released the mighty fine World Upside Down where House Of Lords showed what they do best.
So this new album Come To My Kingdom continues where World Upside Down left filled with fantastic hook laden songs with outstanding melodies and James Christian’s powerful voice.

I think this new album is slightly heavier and sounds more like they did on Demons Down on places with heavy riffantastic guitars. The production is top-notch with a powerful sound. Out of the 14 tracks on the album I could almost mention every song because there are not many weak moments.
They open the album with an instrumental song and after that they bring the powerful and heavy but yet very melodic Come To My Kingdom with a brilliant chorus.

I Need To Fly could easily be a Tommy Denander penned song because this sounds like a Radioactive or Frederiksen/Denander song with a catchy chorus. I Don’t Wanna Wait All Night starts with the chorus filled with wonderful background vocals and harmonies. This is a superb rocker with fantastic hooklines and a powerful chorus.
In A Perfect World and The Dream are two absolutely brilliant songs that takes you to higher grounds, classy stuff. One Touch has a chorus with great keyboards in the chorus and that will stay in your head for a long time because it’s catchy as hell with wonderful harmony vocals, one of the big highlights of the album.

Next up is called Even Love Can’t Save Us with powerful background vocals and strong chorus. They end the album with a 2nd and acoustic version of Another Day From Heaven that’s the bonus track for Europe. Listen to the chorus that contains outstanding harmony vocals a´la City Boy and Styx. Both versions on the album are great. James Christian and House Of Lords are here to stay and this new album will not disappoint their fans and hopefully it will find some new ones as well. This is an album that left a big smile on my face when I heard it for the first time and I can only say -don’t hesitate to grab a copy of this awesome album. Thumps up for Come To My Kingdom.
