Artist discography

After recently disbanded the group Stratovarius Timo Tolkki formed a new band called Revolution Renaissance. To this album he did not spent time looking for a permanent band line-up so he gathered 3 well-knows singers for New Era. How about these names : Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween), Tobias Sammet (Edguy) and Pasi Rantanen (Thunderstone).
Mr. Kiske is the one that shines out most and I can’t understand why he keep doing those boring laid back solo albums when he delivers outstanding vocal performances on these powerful melodic songs that suits his voice just right.

Timo wrote this album as the next Stratovarius album but when things didn’t work out right. This is the best album that Mr. Tolkki has recorded and its filled with top-class melodic power metal with stunning songs in the same vein as Axel Rudi Pell, Helloween and Edguy.
Song of the album is the amazing I Did It My Way that is a filled with outstanding melodies and the hooklines is huge with a brilliant chorus, just listen to Mr. Kiske on this one. Eden Is Burning is a heavy rocker with a bombastic drum sound and pompish keyboards and the chorus is huge that lovers of Axel Rudi Pell will jump of joy.

Last Night On Earth will take you to power metal heaven because you don´t get much better song in this genre. The guitar riffs are just awesome and its filled with huge hooklines and a melodic chorus. There’s not a single boring song on the album and the production is just top-notch. This is the metal album of the year so far and this is something I recommend highly. Get it PRONTO.

Did you know that?

While working as a session guitarist in the early 60’s, Jimmy Page played guitar on Tom Jones´ 1965 hit "It´s Not Unusual".
