Alkaline Trio┬┤s 6th studio album "Agony and Irony" is also their first major label album for Epic records.
Their British punkrock oriented sound has taken a step closer to powerpop on the new album that features the new single "Help me" which bring thoughts to Sugarcult and Saves the day.
"In vein" that also was featured on the iTunes EP earlier this year is a flirt with The Clash and Bad Religion, quite a catchy tune indeed.
The opening track "Calling all skeletons" is a more straight forward pop punk song which can be described as The Rembrandts collaborating with Green Day.
"Over and out" sounds like a stadium rocker and a possible hit single, a must for fans of the U2/Green Day hit "Saints are coming".
It goes on and on like this with hummable melodies from guys that grew up listening to The Skids and The Jam etc, I like this ohyeah!
