Review

How many bands can you name on your right hand that plays funky rock in 2009? You might come up with a few if you think about it for a while but it´s not easy.
Well, Hyper Static Union is one of those bands that knows how to pull off a super groovy riff with melodic vocals on top of it.
I have enjoyed their 2 previous albums but this new one "Meet him in the air" is their most even album so far, the songs aren´t necessarily better on this album but I can´t seem to find any fillers.
Its always nice when you don´t have to use the forward button and skip a track because this was 37 minutes of a good-time-rocknroll entertainment.
Recommendable!

Did you know that?

During 2001, before the band´s third release, the members of HIM (His Infernal Majesty) formed a new band called Daniel Lioneye. This was intended as a solo project of guitarist Linde, who took on the vocal spot and the stage name Daniel Lioneye for it. Migé Amour played bass, Ville Valo was on drums, with Hiili on keyboards, and Ike on sound effects. They released two albums, ´The King of Rock´n Roll´, in September 2001, and ´Vol. II´ in April 2010.
