Review

Brannon Powers (formerly of Happyendings) dropped everything from what he was doing in the summer of 2007, he left his home, friends, work and bought a one way ticket to Hawaii to record this EP.
This 5 track EP contains 3 new songs and 2 acoustic versions of "Miracle" and "Long way home", both featured on his former band The Whitest Light´s EP "Beginnings".
The style on this EP leans more towards a modern singer/songwriter rock with country influences, Brannon is a talented songwriter where you get to hear proof of in the beautiful ballad "I can´t be the same".
"My way out" is a groovy song and the only song that reminds of his time in Happyendings, the midtempo "Waiting for a sign" is a grower for sure and also the most country sounding song of all these tracks.
A nice EP worth exploring.
