Review

Human Race is a swedish outfit from Gothenburg and features the guitar talent Robert Hansson. H.R plays Melodic hard rock with attitude. The sound is a mixture of Talisman (Humanimal), Brazen Abbot and the sound that Masquerade and Million had on their second albums only difference is that Human Race does it better and this is also good. Guitar lovers will like this album it contains fantastic guitar riffs and Robert has got a good variation in the playing . The opening song The Web is a heavy song with heavy guitars and great melodies and reminds of Talisman with some great bass sound and the chorus is very much Talisman on the Humanimal album, good start on the record. Another recemblance to Talisman we got in the song Into the night. Free your mind is a melodic hard rock anthem with hard edge guitars and sounds like Brazen Abbot on acid. The best song on this album is Them and here they show a different side of H.R, this is a mid-tempo song with a AORish chorus and to the second chorus they got a girl singing in the background and it sounds great and they also show that they can sing good harmony vocals. Mothership and e20 expressway are two instrumental songs. On Don´t look back Robert plays some guitar riffs that makes you shiver, it´s a very heavy but melodic song but the chorus is AORish with great harmony vocals, again. This is a nice album by Human Race and the singer is good and they have made good arrangements and the songs has good variation. This is a must if you are into the mentioned acts.
