Review

Little Box o Snakes is a scaled down edition of the Box o Snakes from 2011, this one contains the first 5 studio albums, the Snakebite EP, 2 live albums and a 16-page booklet with all the lyrics and songwriting credits.
Missing are the Live at Reading 1980 CD, a DVD and a 90-page hardcover book.
It´s hard to believe this band has only released 11 studio albums in their 35 year long career, they were definitely more creative during the Sunburst years 1978-1982. With the classic line up of David Coverdale, Jon Lord, Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody, Neil Murray and Ian Paice/Dave Dowle.

Something that I didn´t think of back then when I was a teenager listening to Whitesnake, was what a great bassplayer Neil Murray actually is. He´s doing some fabulous playing on these early albums.
Well, these songs sure do put the nostalgia factor high and it´s like I´m young again.

Playlist:
Come on, Steal away (Snakebite)
Take me with you, Nighthawk (Trouble)
Might just take your life, Trouble (Live at Hammersmith)
Walking in the shadow of the blues, Medicine man (Lovehunter)
Fool for your loving, Ain´t gonna cry no more (Ready an´ willing)
Ready an willing, Ain´t no love in the heart of the city (Live...in the heart of the city)
Hot stuff, Hit an´ run (Come an´ get it)
Crying in the rain, Here I go again (Saints and Sinners)
