Review

When I listened to the intro from this second album from Good Charlotte I thought ?What da heck! Have they changed style to symphonic pomp punk rock?. It?s really cool and this could have been something really new and fresh. But instead of that they bring us a nice portion of punk rock like we were given from their self-titled album from 2000. I liked that one and it felt fresh and charming with some cool Third eye blind slices here and there. The new album has gone really well on the charts in the U.S and reached number 7 on the Billboard recently. The first single ?Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous? has also climbed the charts well and follows the Blink 182 and Green Day concept very well with fast drums and catchy hooks. Nice tune, but you have heard it before! Songs like ?The Anthem? and ?Bloody Valentine? affects me more and feels a little edgier and fresher. I can?t say that Good Charlotte stands out more than most other punk influenced bands, but it?s quite hard not to be charmed by their catchy style. Not as good as their debut, but quite close!
