Review

Why make it complicated? There are plenty of bands being successful on writing 3 chord songs and New Politics are smart enough to belong in the latter category, their self titled debut is handmade for the weekend party with a straight ahead rock attitude that is so easy to love. The band features the Danes Soeren Hansen - Guitar/Vocals, Poul Amaliel - Drums and the American singer David Boyd. This trio knows how to deliver infectious and hook laden bubble gum punk that can be described as Offspring meeting Nirvana with a touch of 80´s new wave. The lead single "yeah yeah yeah" has potential of being on everybody´s lips this summer and another single contender is "Give me hope", totally irresistable melodies. You can catch the band on tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars in U.S this year. The only thing I have against this album is that some of the songs tend to soundalike but it´s not a big deal.
