Review

One of my absolute best albums in my 8000 collections of albums is the debut album by PM from 1988. It is still a masterpiece. Happily enough Peter is still around doing records with his own solomusic and with PM that are really good, but here he is doing a tribute album to Beatles. And what can be said about it. Well - actually not that much more that it is what I expected with a tribute album. Well performed, cool and good. But - still - who needs it? I rather put on the original albums instead. Beatles is Beatles. I don't want bands from 2000-century doing cover-versions of PM's debut. Or perhaps it would be a cool idea? I can't decide? Please get me right here... This is of course not a bad record at all. The beautiful version of George Harrisons "Here Comes The Sun" is lovely and Peter on his own with "Strawberry Fields Forever" is another really cool one. But - now - back to where you belong Peter. Write good tracks on your own next time, or do another PM-album, but don't produce a tribute to Beach Boys or any other tribute lbum next time...
