Review

Admiral Byrd features members from The Great Depression and Arman, I did a review of The Great Depression´s 2008 album "Forever altered" a while back and really was taken by the hauntingly beautiful soundscape. This Danish/American space rock band sure knows how to take the listener on a dark but thrilling musical journey where it feels like you´re the last man on earth wandering the wastelands of the furious nuclear war.

They´re a bit like Mew without the pop melodies and sometimes also bring thoughts to Eskju Divine and Sigur Ros, I had to hear it 3 times in a row before I could have an opinion about it. Admiral Byrd doesn´t make music for the shopping malls, music is an art for them that demands an open mind or otherwise you´re doomed to hate it. The song "Little America I" is worth an award of an kind. Brilliant!
