You walk on a rainy street, down in Greenwich Village in Manhattan and you suddenly see a sign on a door that Elvis Costello, Marc Jordan and Donald Fagen got the idea to do a little jazz session for one evening. You go in and buy a beer and sit down and shakes the rain from your clothes and listen to the calm and cool songs that the three old men sit and play ... There you have this disc quite well described ... Is it good? Well, both this and that... First of all - Peter doesn't sit on the same great voice as any of these three guys I just mentioned. Some songs are cool but some are also boring and doesn't lead you anywhere and just stays as backgroundmusic. But it is definitely worth checking out if you enjoy soft cool "jazz".
"The Verve" lost all the money from their hit song "Bitter Sweet Symphony" after it was shown that they were using a sample of the Rolling Stone "The Last Time."
