Review

New Day is the first solo album of Italian Mario Percudani. He plays guitars in the band Hungryheart that  just released their 2nd album One Ticket To Paradise. On New Day he shows a different side of him and delivers nice smooth pop songs with some West Coast and blues/jazz influences. Mario sang on couple of songs on the latest Hungryheart album and showed that he is a good singer. Don’t Bother Me is a good acoustic pop song with fine melodies. You Can Run is a wonderful laid-back pop song with strong melodies and the chorus is great with nice female vocals in the background. Standing In The Pouring Rain is a slick Fusion/West-Coast pop song. Tears On The Water is a great up-tempo pop-song with a chorus that reminds of Rob Thomas. This is a nice pop album with slightly acoustic feel over it and the downside is that many of the songs sounds too much the same. Otherwise this is a smooth album to relax to or just close your eyes and dream away. If your into laid back pop with jazz/fusion influences then check out Mario and he sings very good.
