Review

How can you not love Bleu? This man is like a modern John Lennon, a musical genius that whatever he touches turns into gold. His new solo album simply titled Four because it´s number 4 since the debut "Headroom" in 2000, the major label debut "Redhead" in 2003 was very successful and last year Bleu gave us the amazing "A watched pot". This man never sleep, he has also been involved in side projects like L.E.O in 2006, Loud Lion in 2007, The Blizzard of 05 in 2007 and The Major Labels in 2008. Plus a cover of "You might think" ona Cars tribute in 2004.

Earlier this year, the artist and Bleu´s friend Owsley passed away and I cannot stop to think the song "How blue" sounds like it´s dedicated to Owsley even though I believe it´s not. The new single "Singin in tongues" opens the album and it´s followed by the infectious powerpop pearl of "Boston", my favorite is the catchy "I´ll know it when I see it" with some super smart guitar harmonies. The beautiful "Everything is fine" is co-written with Roger Joseph Manning Jr of Jellyfish, anything less than 4 stars for this record is a crime!
