Artist discography

The Bolts is a band from Orange County, CA USA. They describe their music as a mix between The Killers, Franz Ferdinand and Muse with vocal harmonies of The Beach Boys. That is a description that raise the bar quite a lot here. But as it turns out, one of the guys’ uncle actually played with The Beach Boys for 13 years so that is sure to leave some kind of mark.

So how is the music then? It is poppy, fast and infectious. A bit like you would expect from the description actually. The vocal harmonies are spot on and they bring a different flavor to the music, something that sets them apart from the rest of the crowd. The best song for me is the last one, Walk Away with its groovy guitar licks, fuzzy bass and pumping drums.  Overall I like this EP and it might be the start of something good. If you like The Pink Spiders, Muse, Kingsley and the Bravery this is worth checking out.
