Review

I first came in contact with Toms nusic when he released "Pleasure and Pain" back in 1992 with Ben Harper. After one album he went down to Austin and joined the band The Silos as their bassist, where also contributed to albums by artists including Graham Parker, Mandy Moore, and Josh Kelley to mention a couple.

His debut solo album in 1998 was a fine piece of plastic in the soft alt-country tradition and after that he has released another six album and here is now number seven. And I must say - his best for a long time. Imagine a cool mix of The Jayhawks, Shawn Mullins, Neal Casal and Pete Droge and you have the style quite explained. The album is filled with nice tunes like "Wounded Surfer Boy" and the soft "Show Me The Love". This is the best Freund-album since the great "Copper Moon" from 2004.

Tracklisting 1. Cruel Cruel World
2. Wounded Surfer Boy
3. Lakeshore Drive (LSD)
4. Show Me The Love
5. Lonesome
6. Fire Trucks
7. Sweetly Calling My Name
8. Daddy's Song . . .
9. Everything

Did you know that?

There are many reports that Freddie Mercury of Queen recorded a track with Michael Jackson´s for Thriller. However, this track has never surfaced in public.
