Review

Bridges is Modern rock band Cavo fourth album. It is also the first without a company behind it since his debut as they were signed to both Reprise and Eleven Seven Records before. Despite some setbacks and a temporary stop of the band they’re now back and also in good shape. 50 songs written for this album and they have got together a very nice collection of melodic and catchy rock tunes. However, this is clearly softer than both the Bright Nights Dark Days (2009) and Thick as Thieves (2012), which was focused on tougher guitars and a bigger sound. Maybe, the band was a bit better there then I think as Bridges as a whole is a little too tame over the 12 tracks that we get here.
But there are clearly some highlights here such as "Stay" and "Fight This War," both of which could provide some radio time for the band. Although the opening track "Nights" with its large and arena sounding melody is worth mentioning.
So if you like bands such as Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind and Camera Can’t Lie, this album is worth checking up.

I also love the song "Fight This War", I bet you'd love it even more if you knew the story behind it. !! 'm really digging this whole album, I love the "new" direction they've gone in!

Did you know that?

Original Days of the New members Todd Whitener, Matt Taul, and Jesse Vest were fired from the band but would go on to form the band Tantric, while Meeks formed a new band under the Days of the New name.
