Review

It´s not easy to stand out in the modern rock jungle today where there are more active rock bands in the mainstream lane than fans of this genre, you truly have to be unique or sit on a load of killer songs to reach a higher plateau. San Antonio based Our Waking Hour knew this and wrote a bunch of epic tracks on their debut album "Seconds to save her". There is not a single dull moment on this 15 track album and they set the standard right away with a powerful intro that bring thoughts to Brad Fiedel´s Terminator theme. The 2nd track "Seconds to save her" is the perfect ambassador for the rest of the album, Our Waking Hour present their riff strong and classy modern rock with this song and the listener won´t be disappointed over the remaining songs either. Fans of Linkin Park, Madina Lake and 30 Seconds To Mars will jump high over songs like "Addiction of you", "Castles fall", "The secret" and "Curtain call". I am amazed! Ask me again in a week and I will have different fave songs.

I agree with you, best album in modern rock for me this year!

Did you know that?

A friend once said "What a Motley looking Crew" - Motley meaning "of great variety" and once describing the appearance of a court jester. The re-spelling of Motley Crue was their own invention; and said to have came to them while they were partying & drinking Lowenbrau beer.
