Switchfoot is one of the most productive and accurate artists on the Modern Rock music. Since their debut The Legend of Chin in 1997, they have managed to release eight albums and where the majority is of very high class. To me, Oh Gravity is the least interesting where they were just too much indie rock for my taste and did not have enough good songs, unfortunately. But they came back very strong with Hello Hurricane, where they found in my opinion the perfect Switchfoot sound. It was melodic as the breakthrough record Learning To Breathe, but with a little more alternative and interesting edge to make it perfect.
The sequel and the band's last album Vice Verses will not make any fan disappointed. It is once again a very good album with a perfect balance of beautiful melodies and alternative ideas where you will find new harmonies each listening. It’s a little bit more pop-oriented than Hello Hurricane, but still very similar when it comes style and quality so we’re talking about a really good album once again.
My favorites are "Dark Horses", "Afterlife" and "Souvenirs", but I am sure you will find your own favorites for sure. Check out!
John Mellencamp was never comfortable with the fact that he had changed his name to the stage name ´Johnny Cougar´. However, his success made it difficult to change back, so in the 80s he became the hybrid John Cougar Mellencamp.
