Review

The Parlor Mob are back with a new album, the much anticipated follow up to And You Were A Crow. I thought that was an underrated album with some very strong songs on it. When I heard the first single from Dogs, Into the Sun, my expectations almost shot through the roof. That was and still is a great song with a nice pace to it.

From the first couple of listening to the album it feels softer than I thought it would be. It is also a bit more polished than the previous effort. The first two songs are great and fast paced but after that the album kind of slows down a bit.  Some parts are still intact like the high-pitch vocals and that is really nice. The stoner rock influences are also there as well as the blues infused guitar riffs.  There are elements that are very familiar but there are also new elements added to create a more diverse sound.

If you liked the first album I think you are going to like this as well. If you dig bands like Kings of Leon and Alberta Cross, you should check this out. Not at all bad, but the first album is better in my opinion.

Did you know that?

James blunt´s "Goodbye My Lover" was recorded in his slightly insane landlady´s bathroom where the piano was kept.
