Los Angeles based urban indie rockers the Crash Kings released their self titled, debut album May 26th. The trio, consisting of Brothers Antonio (vocals and piano/keys) and Michael Beliveau (bass) and drummer Jason Morris, are a piano driven rock outfit looking to make a mark on the indie/alternative rock music scene with their catchy, fist raising, riff based music. Dave Sardy, producer for renowned artists such as Oasis, Jet and Wolfmother helped shape the Crash Kings self titled album, which is full of melodic hooks, tasty drum grooves and smooth vocal harmonies. Mountain Man, the albums first single made it to #1 on the alternative charts, demonstrating the sleek bass of Michael Beliveau and his brothers powerful, yet intricate vocals. “Let’s give them what they least expectâ€, a line from the song 14 Arms describes perfectly what the Crash Kings want their music to achieve. Having been described as a love child of The White Stripes and the Cold War Kids this eclectic group are set to dominate the alternative rock scene. Scrubs star Zach Braff raves about the band on his myspace blog, informing readers that this group are going to be huge. 2008s American Idol winner David Cook is also currently listening to the Crash Kings. In a recent interview with Journal World he tells of how he likes rocks based music that has “found a niche or a sound or a vibe nobody else has pegged.†The Crash Kings are sure to create a stir within the indie/alternative rock scene.
