LAST ANGELS: The NEW project from DAVE BUCKNER [original drummer of PAPA ROACH] and Jake Desroches of LONENLY KINGS!!!...

Sacramento, Califas, USA. Summer. 2008. Last Angels. Born of a weekly Tuesday-night jam session at a downtown studio, featuring select local rock personalities, including Jake Desrochers [guitar/vocalist for veteran Norcal punk band, Lonely Kings] and drummer Dave Buckner [founding member of the ever-evolving hard-rock outfit, Papa Roach]. 2007 saw the departure of Buckner from his former band, amid rumours which run the gamut of rock n roll cliche. The 2-piece band is a welcome side-project and alternate creative outlet for Desrochers, who continues to record and tour with LK. It is also a musical re-incarnation and personal creative proving-ground for Buckner, who spent most of the last few years in what he half-jokingly terms "self imposed rock exile."

Last Angels approach is a no-rules/no-holds-barred collaborative effort. Both members share in writing, vocal, and programming duties, as well as playing their respective instruments. Future plans? Who knows. Jake D. and dB have no clue what’s next for Last Angels. Tour? Who knows. As dB put it, “the uncertainty is what’s so cool.” The duo imagine a full album will be released in the near future. Like true musicians, the members of Last Angels can’t live without their art. “It’s the first time I’ve been really and truly inspired in a long time. It feels real,” points dB. Jake D. adds, “If there’s a stage, I’ll fuckin’ play it. That’s what I do. I got to be busy with music or I’ll go nuts. I’d feel like a normal person [without music] and that sucks.”
