HIMLAVÄSEN was founded in 1978 as a pure big band in a church in Gothenburg. Among its member you could find brothers Sven and Erik Fridolsson (although Erik's known by family name Rosenkvist). Sven became - and still is - the band leader, and he's a well-known saxophone player who's been seen on Swedish television and in the Gothenburg Symphonic Orchestra and the Gothenburg Opera.
