Thabu is a Prog Metal band formed by James Robledo (Vocals), Santiago Díaz Garces (Guitar), Marco Ignacio Toba (Bass) and Leandro Bulanikian (Drums). Thabu was formed in 2004 by Santiago Diaz Garcés, Leandro Bulanikian and the formerly singer Carlos Di Tirro, with the idea of creating an ambitious project where the different musical view of the band and the diversity of resources, both lyrically and stylistically, to use, made one of the most important features of the band. After many attempts of integrating a bass player to fulfill the band, finally on 2008 their incorporate Marco Ignacio Toba as permanent member.



With this line-up their release their debut album “La Opresión de lo Inevitable”, which will let the band tour all around Argentina and their first internation tour, gigging in Chile for first time. Due to personal and musical differences with Carlos Di Tirro, the lead formation breaks and the singer is forced to leave the band. From this point, starts a quest to find the new singer that fulfill all the preferences and the intentions of the band. After an attempt to make an alternative turn to the sound, the band incorporates Gisela Bianchi as the new singer, but the band wasn’t satisfied with the results given and they decide to resume the origins of the band.



Finally at the of 2010, after a long time searching and auditioning singers worldwide, the band includes the chilean singer James Robledo, who fits perfect with the preferences pretended for the band and give the new sound of the band the quality that they were searching for. With the new line-up finally complete, Thabu finish the recordings of its new material “Reborn” in October 2011.
