All bands must believe they have something new to offer otherwise what?s the point? And with the reach of the internet, thousands are available with a mouse click. But what brings ide to the fore in the otherwise wash of musical mediocrity is the ability to translate the ideas rolling around in their heads to the actual performance of well-crafted original songs. So many others are simply copying what they like or rehashing what happened a couple of decades ago.

You can feel that Layne truly believes what he is singing about through intense, emotional vocals, or that guitar parts just don?t come around like that very often when Landon delivers his soaring melodic lines. That Luis and Mark truly know how to create lines and patterns on bass and drums to anchor the song arrangements down with tight, surging rhythms.

And being that drummer Mark Niemiec is also a Grammy Nominated engineer (India.Ari?s Acoustic Soul), ide is able to amazingly hand-guide and oversee the entire process from song writing and arranging to recording, producing, mixing and delivering a final product in such a way it is evident their consistent offerings are a true labor of love.

Loosely fitting under the canopy of indie pop/brit rock with influences ranging from such A-listers as Coldplay, Keane, Radiohead, U2, The Killers, Oasis, Muse and others, do not dismiss ide as coattail riders. There is something new to be said and they are here to say it. And with the release of their first full length record apologies for spilling paint on Radiant Music; look for them to emerge on their own terms and take their rightful place in line. . .
