In the year 2004, a rock and roll band was born in Columbus, Ohio, a big small-town ripe with overlooked music talent. Two singer-songwriters who had met in college at Miami University carefully hand-picked the best of the best in Columbus’ music scene to create the band Embassy.


Embassy quickly got the attention of the music industry with their "Loft Recordings" demo in 2005, which earned them a Top 10 ranking by MTV for the “Best Unsigned Bands in the Nation”. After touring heavily to establish themselves in markets like Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, D.C., and Philadelphia, the band began to garner some media attention as well. Whether it was being featured as a “Buzz Act” by HITS Magazine or being chosen as one of the “Top Ten Unsigned Bands” by AlternativeAddiction.com – Embassy continued to make headlines.


The beginning of 2006 brought about a much-anticipated publishing deal with Sony/ATV. The deal, struck with Jon Nelson (who had also recently signed FallOutBoy, We Are Scientists, Cartel, and Rise Against), gave Embassy the resources needed to begin recording their first full-length album THE WAR OF ART. The debut CD was met with instant media praise as Columbus Dispatch journalist Aaron Beck declares, "The War of Art encorporates vocals that soar atop thick, textured riffs; melodies galore; and heavy earnest lyrics. In short, it´s memorable, well-crafted modern rock with an exclamation point."

Some of the band’s most recent successes include placement on the new Playstation video game MLB ’07 The Show as well as a featured spot on MTV’s forthcoming documentary, “Bands on the Rise” (Feb. ‘07).
